well, hello there <3 i'm julie, a vertically-challenged insomniac who is obsessed with a fairly long list of things. these things may include, but are not limited to doctor who, torchwood, firefly, star trek, and many things tolkien (meaning, yes, the hobbit and the lotr but also the rest of the legendarium, and roverandom and the like as wel ). also spiders, inverts and other beautiful creatures of all sorts. um. so basically, look for those things on this blog, as well as a bunch of other random stuff that isn't on the list. thanks, love you, don't hesitate to drop something in my ask!

I like photography, too, though I don’t have the equipment to indulge the hobby. Part of a photography series I did with the cooperation of a local pet store.

This rose-haired tarantula was sleepy and gentle. She was as precious as a jewel, her body felt so delicate in my hand. I love these animals so much. It makes me miss working at the zoo!
